Louie Rozier is a committed drummer, percussionist, and flutist who plays and writes in a wide variety of idioms. These range from
beat music, songs, and traditional shamanic music to relatively abstract music
with classically trained performers, or mixed groups of different types of musicians, DJs, or electronics, or robot instruments.
Louie grew up in Washington, DC; playing drums and percussion since age 10
He studied at Peabody Conservatory,
North Carolina School of the Arts,
Berklee (B.M. composition), and The University of Hawaii (M.M. composition).
