Louie Rozier grew up in Washington, DC; began drumming age 10; influenced by Baker, Bonham, Mitch Mitchell,
as well as (a bit later) Eric Gravatt, Tony Williams, Jack DeJohnette, etc.. attended Peabody Conservatory
(flute), North Carolina School of the Arts (flute), Berklee, (drums/composition). Recent M.M. (composition) from the University of Hawaii.
Performed with various European and American artists;
toured with a variety of roots, funk, and abstract music; multi-instrumental studio work.
Resided in Boston, DC, London, Amsterdam, Spa (Belgium) New York, San Francisco and Honolulu. Presently located in Washington DC area
